Being René

Hello Bloomers!

As I’ve grown older, I’ve started reflecting on my past life choices—and wondering, if I could go back, what would I change?

It’s like standing in a long hallway filled with doors—just like in Being Erica—and behind each one is a moment in your life where you could have chosen differently.

For me, there’s one door I’d choose without hesitation—because what lay behind it wouldn’t have just changed my life, but my children’s too.

I believe it would have given all of us a different—and better—life.
Sometimes I wonder how different our days might’ve felt—maybe lighter, maybe more secure. Maybe we wouldn’t have had to work so hard just to feel a little peace… and safe.

That one decision would’ve even affected my parents—in a good way.
Maybe it would’ve eased some of their burdens too—the kind they never spoke about, but I could always feel.

We all live with regrets—some we accept as life lessons, and others we quietly wish we could do over.
Those quiet wishes don’t always fade. Some sit with you for years, showing up when you least expect them—during a song, a memory, a sleepless night.

But do-overs don’t exist—so we have to face the fact that it was a different version of us, in a different time, and focus on making the best of what we have now.

That’s why shows like Being Erica speak to me. They remind us that we’re not alone in wondering “what if,” and that growth doesn’t mean perfection—it just means trying again.
And if you’ve never seen Being Erica, I highly recommend it—it’s a beautiful show packed with life lessons.

Until next time Bloomers, remember to be kind to yourself and others! 🌸
