To Age with Grace, Let’s Take Care of Our Face
Hello Bloomers!
Today, I’m sharing a few gentle, natural ways to care for your skin after 40—because aging is a blessing, so let’s do it gracefully.
1. Hydration is your holy grail.
Water keeps your skin plump, elastic, and glowing from the inside out. Try sipping warm water with lemon in the morning to wake up your system and your complexion. Coconut water is also a skin-loving hydrator—full of electrolytes that help your body (and your skin) stay dewy and refreshed.
2. Sleep is skincare.
Aim for 7–9 hours of restful sleep. Your skin regenerates while you rest, so make your bedroom a sanctuary—cool, dark, and screen-free if you can.
3. Nourish from the inside.
Foods rich in antioxidants and plant-based estrogen—like flaxseeds, berries, avocado, and leafy greens—can help balance hormones and keep skin supple from within.
4. Don’t skip exfoliation.
Gentle exfoliation (1–2 times per week) helps remove dead skin cells and allows your moisturizers to sink in deeper. Look for natural exfoliants like finely ground oats, rice powder, or fruit enzymes.
5. Moisturize with intention—and don’t forget your neck.
Use organic moisturizers with ingredients like rosehip oil, shea butter, or aloe. And always extend your skincare down to your neck and décolletage—those areas need just as much love as your face.
6. For your eyes: go cool and clean.
Cucumber slices aren’t just for spas—they’re a timeless trick for reducing puffiness and soothing tired eyes. Or try a natural eye cream like 100% Pure Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream for a botanical boost.
7. A few natural products women love (and so does your skin):
Neck: LÉA NATURE SO’BiO étic Argan Anti-Aging Cream – rich in argan oil to firm and hydrate
Eyes: 100% Pure Coffee Bean Eye Cream – caffeine, aloe, and green tea for a brightened look
Face Cream: Weleda Pomegranate Firming Day Cream – boosts collagen and smooths fine lines
Facial Oil: Pai Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil – evens tone and fades spots naturally
Sunscreen: Suntegrity SPF 30 – zinc-based, hydrating, and free from harmful chemicals
8. Take a deep breath—and protect your peace.
Stress shows on your face. Whether it’s a few minutes of deep breathing, a quiet walk, or creating a calm, beautiful space in your home—your peace is part of your glow. Make room for quiet moments that soften your mind and nourish your spirit.
Even something as simple as the gentle scent of a handcrafted soap can shift the energy in your space—bringing comfort, calm, and a little everyday luxury.
You don’t need a shelf full of miracle products to glow.
You just need consistency, kindness, and a little bit of nature on your side.
Until next time Bloomers, remember to be kind to yourself and others! 🌸
